Overnight Pursuit Leads to Arrest of Hopkinsville Man

Deputies arrested a Hopkinsville man early Wednesday morning after assisting other agencies in pursuing a vehicle that fled from authorities around 2:00 am.

Christian County Sheriff's OfficeAccording to an arrest citation from Sgt. Adam Vanderkolk, 47-year-old William T. Davis was fleeing from Oak Grove Officers after they attempted to stop him. Sgt. Vanderkolk made contact with the suspect on Fort Campbell Blvd. and pursued the vehicle onto Pennyrile Parkway. Davis turned off onto Pembroke Road and then onto Skyline Drive, where officers with the Hopkinsville Police Department were ready with spike strips used to disable the fleeing vehicle. The vehicle was damaged and authorities were able to stop the suspect in the area of Lovers Lane on Fort Campbell Blvd. Davis was found to have two active warrants and was also charged with the following:

  • Fleeing/ Evading Police 1st Degree
  • Reckless Driving

Davis was transported to the Christian County Jail.
