CCSO Takes Drugs, Firearm Off Streets After Traffic Stop

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office Highway Interdiction unit continues to take illegal drugs and dangerous weapons off roadways in Christian County. A Wednesday morning traffic stop led to drug and weapon charges for an Oak Grove man on Interstate 24.

christian county sheriff's officeAccording to an arrest citation, Deputy Clevin Robinson stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction around 10:30 am, close to the Oak Grove exit on Interstate 24. A consent to search was given by the driver, 22-year-old Daniel Oliver Knight Blackwood after he was issued a warning for the traffic infraction.

Deputies located a book bag in the trunk containing a mini rifle, ammunition, and suspected marijuana. Blackwood was cited into court for:

  • Possession of Marijuana (enhanced with a firearm)
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon
