Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested a North Carolina woman Friday morning after she was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics after a single-vehicle car accident.
According to an arrest citation from Deputy Greg Koehler, 21-year-old Carly Keith was involved in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning around the 4-mile marker of Cadiz Rd.
When deputies made contact with Keith’s vehicle they observed suspected narcotics in the armrest of the passenger door. A further search of the vehicle yielded a small baggie of suspected methamphetamine and steel wool in the glove compartment. Once Keith was detained she revealed to officers that she had further contraband in her pants, which included over 40 Xanax pills, small baggies used for packaging, and suspected marijuana.
Keith was transported to the Christian County Jail on the following charges:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (meth)
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Operating on a Suspended Driver’s License
