Multiple Drug Charges for Man Involved in Collision

CCSO deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on the Pennyrile Parkway last night that led to multiple drug charges for a Hopkinsville man.

According to an arrest report from Deputy Johnny Colon, officers made contact with 22-year-old Tylon W. Holmes of Hopkinsville at around 9:00 pm on the parkway at about the 8mm. According to Deputy Colon, Holmes had glassy eyes, slurred speech, and smelled of suspected marijuana. Deputies retrieved a prescription bottle from Holmes’s pocket that contained suspected Xanax. A further search of the vehicle yielded multiple items of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia including suspected marijuana, scales, synthetic marijuana, liquid codeine, and two firearms.

Holmes was transported to the Christian County Jail and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a  Controlled Substance 3rd Degree
  • Prescription not in Proper Container
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree
  • Possession of Synthetic Drugs
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • DUI
  • No Insurance
