CCSO Takes More Meth Off Streets in Friday Arrest

Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office stopped a Hopkinsville man Friday night and arrested him for illegal narcotics.

Christian County Sheriff's Office Meth ArrestAccording to an arrest citation from Deputy David King, 42-year-old Lucan Idell Blankenship was stopped for a traffic infraction on Cedar Street in Hopkinsville at around 10:45 pm. Deputy King was given consent to search by Blankenship for the vehicle and his person. Blankenship was found to be in possession of half of a suspected Xanax and suspected methamphetamine in a small container.

Blankenship was arrested, taken to the Christian County Jail, and charged with the following:

 

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
