Deputies were called to an address Wednesday morning (09/30) to attempt to locate a subject with a narcotics-related arrest warrant.
According to an arrest report from K9 Deputy Sam Suiter, Deputies observed a vehicle in the driveway of a residence in the 2000 block of Dawson Springs Rd. and made contact with 27-year-old Brandon Gard of Hopkinsville. Gard had an active warrant out of Christian County and was taken into custody. During the arrest, Deputy Suiter observed a small cellophane bag containing a white crystal substance Gard identified as Methamphetamine. A further search of the vehicle yielded a “loaded” hypodermic needle and a small grinder containing suspected marijuana.
Gard was taken into custody and charged with the following:
- Warrant for:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st Offense (methamphetamine)
- Possession Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Marijuana
- No Moped License
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree 2nd Offense (methamphetamine)
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Gard was transported to the Christian County Jail.
