Morning Pursuit Leads to 4 Arrests and Recovery of a Stolen Vehicle

Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office charged four Louisville residents with receiving stolen property after a pursuit on the Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County this morning.

According to a report from Deputy John Quarles, he attempted to stop a speeding vehicle headed southbound at around the 23 mile marker on the parkway. The vehicle refused to pull over and attempted to flee from Deputy Quarles’ direction. The driver of the vehicle attempted to get off at exit 11 (HWY 1682) and lost control. The vehicle crashed at the intersection of the Parkway and all subjects were taken into custody.

A check of the vehicle determined that it was stolen out of Louisville, KY. All occupants of the vehicle were charged with Receiving Stolen Property. The following subjects were arrested/ charged:

  • 22 year old Keyvonte Pettus of Louisville, KY
  • 22 year old Leonard E. Scott III of Louisville, KY
  • 18 year old Arwan Arwan of Louisville, KY
  • 18 year old Renee Carnes of Louisville, KY

All subjects were transported from the scene to Jennie Stuart Medical Center ER for their injuries. Pettus, Arwan and Carnes were transported to the Christian County Jail after being treated and released and Scott was cited into court and is being transferred to another medical facility for his injuries. Further charges on Pettus are expected.
