Car Theft in Pembroke Leads to Pursuit and Arrest

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies along  with Officers from the Oak Grove Police Department and the Clarksville Police Department arrested a Springfield, TN man after he stole a vehicle in Pembroke, KY.

According the report filed by Deputy Jack Rowlands, a vehicle was reported stolen in Pembroke, KY  the night of February 5th. The report indicates that 36-year-old Jose A. Euyoque of Springfield, TN  stole a vehicle from the parking lot of the Minit Mart and fled in the direction of Oak Grove, KY around 9:00 pm. Oak Grove police officers spotted the vehicle merging onto Interstate 24 east bound at ext 89. Oak Grove attempted to stop the vehicle which continued to flee with Deputies close behind. The vehicle attempted to cross the median around exit 4 in Clarksville and became stuck. Officers took the suspect into custody without further incident. During the arrest, officers discovered alcohol and a handgun inside the vehicle.

Euyoque was taken into custody by The Clarksville Police Department and lodged in the Montgomery County Jail where he is being held for extradition.

Warrants on Euyoque were obtained by Dep. Rowlands for the following charges:

  • Theft by Unlawful Taking $500 or more (Auto)
  • Fleeing/ Evading Police 1st Degree
  • Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
  • Possession of an Open Alcohol Container in a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of a Cancelled Operators License
  • Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License
