The Christian County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a month long forgery investigation.
39 year old Norman Randle Sellers of Hopkinsville was arrested on the strength of a Christian County warrant this past Saturday (12.19) The warrant alleges that Sellers knowingly possessed a forged instrument (checks) in the amount of $100.00, followed by another in the amount of $75.00 and a third in the amount of $40.00 (which had been altered). Each of these checks were presented by Sellers and, in addition, Sellers mislead the victim by requesting monies under a false pretense.
Sellers was lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $15,000.00 bond for the following charges:
-Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree
-Theft by Deception
