March 28th, 2025-Christian County, KY: On Friday, just after midnight, deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle that had left the roadway near the 23-mile marker of the Pennyrile Parkway. Upon arrival, deputies located the vehicle in a field and observed a male subject, later identified as 61-year-old Donald Lee Burns of Nortonville, attempting to flee on foot.
After a brief foot pursuit, deputies apprehended Burns, who showed signs of intoxication. A records check revealed his license was suspended due to prior DUI convictions. He was also unable to provide valid registration or proof of insurance.
Burns was charged with multiple offenses, including DUI (Third Offense), Driving on a Suspended License, Fleeing or Evading Police, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Resisting Arrest.
