Christian County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Fatal Domestic Incident

March 9th, 2025, Christian County, KY – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a domestic disturbance that resulted in the death of a female victim and the arrest of a Christian County man.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 6000 block of Pembroke-Oak Grove Road after receiving a report of a possible domestic disturbance. The caller advised dispatch that gunshots had been heard.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered 35-year-old Anthony Moore sitting on the front porch of the residence. Moore was immediately detained. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered the body of 31-year-old Cicara C. James inside the home. James was found deceased with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Moore was taken into custody and later interviewed by detectives, during which he admitted to the fatal shooting. Authorities confirmed that Moore and James shared the residence and had children in common. Moore was charged with Murder and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to conduct interviews and process evidence. Further details will be released as they become available
