Monday, September 16th, 2024, Christian County, KY: Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on EB Parkway near the 2MM and made one drug arrest.
Radar confirmed the vehicle was speeding at 92 MPH in a posted 70 MPH zone, exceeding the limit by 22 MPH. The driver, 30-year-old Jaumell Lewis of Fort Pierce, FL, was found to be operating with a suspended Florida license. Upon searching the vehicle, deputies discovered a strong odor of marijuana, leading to a probable cause search that uncovered suspected marijuana, unspecified pills in a clear baggie, believed to be Percocet, and a clear baggie containing pills suspected to be Ecstasy. The driver was subsequently charged with: – Speeding 22 MPH over the limit (limited access) – Operating on a suspended or revoked operator license – Possession of marijuana – Possessing a license when privileges are revoked – Possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree – Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (drug unspecified).
Lewis was transported to the Christian County Jail.
