Driver Arrested for Operating Under the Influence and Possession of Methamphetamine

Christian County, Kentucky, May 24th, 2024: On Friday, Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Strauch responded to a report of a semi-truck parked in the median of I-24 West.

Upon investigation, Deputy Strauch made contact with the driver, 49-year-old Dinnie Robertson, who appeared to be under the influence of a stimulant. The suspect displayed signs of impairment, including dilated pupils, jittery movements, and inability to maintain balance. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) were administered, and the suspect displayed multiple clues of impairment.

While he was being detained, a small baggie of suspected methamphetamine was located in Robertson’s wallet. The suspect has a previous conviction for methamphetamine possession in Tennessee in 2016.

Robertson was arrested and charged with: – Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Controlling Substances (1st Offense, Aggravating Circumstances) – Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine)

He was transported to the Christian County Jail.
