CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARREST IN SHOTS FIRED INCIDENT

Hopkinsville, KY – On May 19, 2024, at approximately 12:35 AM, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shots fired complaint at a residence in the 4000 block of Mt. Zoar Latham Road.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with several individuals who reported a neighbor, 61-year-old Terry Craig, had fired a handgun after an altercation. According to witnesses, Craig had been using a flashlight to strobe them during a party, leading to a verbal altercation. Craig threatened to physically harm the victims and retrieved a gun from his home, firing it near one of the victims before returning inside.

Deputies executed a complaint warrant on May 22nd, 2024 for Terry Craig’s arrest, charging him with: – Wanton Endangerment, 2nd Degree – Terroristic Threatening, 3rd Degree. Craig has a history of prior complaints, including pointing a handgun at his neighbors in the recent past. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office takes incidents of this nature seriously and will continue to work diligently to ensure the safety of our community.
