October 16th, 2023-Hopkinsville, KY: Deputies responded to a residence Monday night, after a female claims she was assaulted in a car by her boyfriend. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived but was apprehended a short time later.
According to a CCSO arrest citation, when deputies arrived at the residence located in the 5000 block of Old Madisonville Rd., they met with a female who claimed she had been assaulted by her boyfriend while they were traveling in a vehicle a short time before the call came out. According to the victim, the male assailant grabbed her by her hair and told her he would “cause them to wreck and kill them both.” She states when they arrived at home, he fled out the back door of the home and ran into the wood line behind the house. While deputies were at the residence searching, the suspect allegedly called 911 to report that a home invasion had occurred at his residence on Johnson Mill. Rd., possibly in an attempt to lure officers away from the residence on Old Madisonville Rd. The call proved to be false.
A K9 unit was called in to assist in searching for the suspect, listed as 33-year-old Dustin Aliff. Deputies say Aliff was also wanted for two warrants, one for absconding and the other for probation violation related to past domestic violence charges. Aliff was spotted in the wood line and taken into custody without incident.
Aliff was charged with the following:
- Assault 4th Degree (Domestic)
- Falsely Reporting an Incident to Law Enforcement
- Fleeing or Evading Police on Foot
- Terroristic Threatening
Aliff was transported to the Christian County Jail.
