Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office were asked to assist Probation and Parole in finding a suspect on Friday (10/06). Suspect was located and arrested for trafficking narcotics.
According to a citation from Deputy Swindell, 27-year-old Joseph Weatherford was located at a house in the 400 block of Henderson Drive in Hopkinsville at around 9:00am. Weatherford was reportedly sitting in a truck in the driveway of the residence. When Weatherford stepped out of the truck, deputies observed him trying to put something in the bed of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded bags of crystalline methamphetamine and 41 xanax pills.
Weatherford was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense.
