Detectives with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit (ACU) stopped a vehicle around noon on Wednesday (05/10) and recovered a stolen truck and trailer valued at $30,000.
According to an arrest citation, at approximately 12:00pm Detective Fiscella was traveling down Goode Rd. and observed a truck pulling a dump trailer, neither of which had registration. Det Fiscella conducted a traffic stop on the truck. The truck was operated by 35-year-old Anthony Mixon of Hopkinsville. Mixon was operating a 2012 Ford F-550 service truck pulling a 16ft PJ dump trailer. A check of the VIN of the trailer reveled the trailer had been stolen out of Robertson Co TN and was valued over $15,000. A check of the truck showed that it too was stolen here in Christian Co and was also valued at over $15,000.
Mixon was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear and was also charged with 2 counts of receiving stolen property over $10,000.
