Christian County, KY-On April 26, 2025, at approximately 11:18 PM, a Christian County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Fort Campbell Boulevard and Auburn Street for a traffic violation. During the stop, deputies made contact with the driver and a passenger who initially provided a false name.

While speaking with the occupants, deputies observed suspected drug paraphernalia in plain view. The passenger, later identified as 27-year-old Logean Lee Coker Busby of Huntsville, AL, became increasingly agitated and armed himself with a box cutter, threatening self-harm. Deputies were able to safely de-escalate the situation and take Busby into custody without further incident.
A search of the vehicle and Busby’s person led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and additional drug paraphernalia. Busby was found to have an active extraditable warrant out of Madison County, Alabama for Distributing Obscene Material with Intent to Disseminate.
Charges filed as a result of the investigation include Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Further legal proceedings are pending.
Busby was transported to the Christian County Jail.
