CCSO Deputies Assist in Narcotics Arrest at Oak Grove Gaming & Casino

Christian County, KY – On the evening of March 23, 2025, at approximately 8:46 p.m., deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) responded to Oak Grove Gaming & Casino to assist the Oak Grove Police Department (OGPD) in an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Upon arrival, deputies were informed that OGPD had detained multiple individuals suspected of drug-related activity on the casino property. Surveillance footage reportedly showed two individuals engaging in suspicious behavior, including hand-to-hand transactions and multiple trips to a hotel room and a vehicle in the parking lot.

A search warrant was obtained and executed on the hotel room and vehicle. Deputies discovered suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and a stolen firearm inside the locations. As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Alyssa McWherter and 33-year-old Quintez Jewell, both of Clarksville, TN, were taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:

  • Alyssa McWherter – Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Cocaine) and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine).
  • Quintez Jewell—Receiving Stolen Firearm, Trafficking in Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.
