March 16th, 2025-Christian County, Ky: At approximately 12:07 a.m. on March 16, 2025, deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Clark Store Sinking Fork Road. The report indicated a male suspect had assaulted a victim, attempted to set the residence on fire, and discharged a firearm prior to deputies’ arrival.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim and attempted to establish communication with the suspect, who remained inside the residence. While deputies spoke with the suspect from outside, the suspect fired multiple rounds at them. Deputies continued efforts to de-escalate the situation; however, as the suspect exited the residence and again opened fire on the deputies. Deputies returned fire, striking the suspect.
No deputies were injured during the incident.
In accordance with standard procedure, the Kentucky State Police has been requested to assume the investigation.
