Christian County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Hendersonville Man on Drug and Weapon Charges

February 25th, 2025-Christian County, KY – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hendersonville, TN man Tuesday night on multiple charges, including outstanding warrants, narcotics trafficking, and weapon violations, following a traffic stop in Oak Grove.

Deputies initiated the stop after observing traffic violations. The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Maurice Ward, had been seen leaving the Oak Grove Casino prior to the stop.

During the investigation, a K9 unit was deployed, leading to the discovery of contraband inside the vehicle. Deputies recovered drug paraphernalia, fentanyl, and a firearm. As a convicted felon, Ward is legally prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Ward was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:

 

 

  • Disregarding a Stop Sign
  • Failure to Signal
  • Trafficking in Fentanyl
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Use of Restricted Ammunition During a Felony
  • Two Christian County Failure to Appear Warrants for Traffic Violations

Ward was transported to the Christian County Jail, where he remains in custody
