FEBRUARY 14TH, 2025, CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY – Late Friday night, deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a reckless driver in the area of Pembroke-Oak Grove Road. According to the report, the vehicle was observed driving erratically, including turning its lights on and off and traveling in the opposite lane of traffic.
Jontavois Smith
Deputies located the vehicle parked at a business in the area and made contact with the driver, 26-year-old Jontavois Smith of Murfreesboro, TN, who was found unresponsive behind the wheel. After further investigation, deputies discovered evidence of suspected illegal narcotics (fentanyl) and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Smith was taken into custody and charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (First Degree – Fentanyl) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
