Traffic Stop Leads to Methamphetamine Arrest

Sunday, January 26, 2025-Hopkinsville, KY: At approximately 8:14 PM on Sunday, CCSO Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche on Fort Campbell Boulevard, leading to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man for meth possession.

The vehicle was stopped for inoperable license plate lights and excessively tinted windows. During the stop, the driver was found to be driving on a suspended license and was cited and released. Further investigation revealed that the rear passenger, 31-year-old Christopher Jones, was under the influence of methamphetamine. Jones admitted to possessing methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe, which were found in his wallet and on the rear passenger floorboard. Jones was arrested and charged with:

1. Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
2. Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess

Jones was transported to the Christian County Jail.
