Thursday, January 16, 2025-Hopkinsville, KY: On Thursday afternoon at around 3:00 pm, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit and Patrol Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Walnut Street in Hopkinsville. The search warrant was the result of a month-long investigation into illegal drug activity conducted by ACU narcotics detectives.
During the search, detectives seized approximately 4 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 30 suspected fentanyl pills. Additionally, drug paraphernalia, including a scale and tray with residue, were found and logged into evidence. United States currency and a cell phone were also seized.
As a result of the investigation, 32-year-old John Bilyeu of Hopkinsville was arrested and charged with:
-Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
-Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Offense (Fentanyl Derivatives)
-Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
