Saturday, November 30th, 2024-Hopkinsville, KY: On Saturday at approximately 9:17 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper turning onto Fort Campbell Boulevard from the Love’s Travel Center.

Corey Phillips
During the stop, the driver, 36-year-old Corey Phillips of Maryville, TN, admitted to possible driver’s license suspension. A subsequent NCIC check revealed that Phillips’ driver’s license was canceled. Phillips and his passenger also admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle and disclosed the presence of a firearm in a camo bag. A search of the vehicle yielded the following:
– A stolen Glock handgun
– Marijuana
Corey Phillips has been charged with the following offenses:
- Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm)
- Improper Turning
- No Operator’s/Moped License
