Deputies Assist with Brush Fire, Arrest Crofton Resident for Drug Related Charges

Wednesday, November 27th, 2024-Crofton, KY-On November 27, 2024, at approximately 3:41 p.m., Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for assistance from the Crofton Fire Department regarding a small brush fire at a residence located at 100 block of North Old Madisonville St. in Crofton, KY.

Upon entering the residence, Anti-Crime Unit Detectives observed narcotics-related items in plain view. Erica Bivins, a resident of the home, denied consent for a search. A protective sweep was conducted, and a search warrant was subsequently obtained and on duty units in the area were asked to observe for the other resident of the home, 38-year-old Crystal Bohonis.

Bohonis was located at Bainbrook Apartments and read her rights. She was found to be in possession of 9 suspected Percocet pills in her purse and was transported back to her residence.
A search of the residence yielded the following items:
– Suspected methamphetamine in 5 different bags
– Psilocybin mushrooms
– Narcotic scales with white residue
– US Currency
Bohonis admitted that all the items were hers except for the mushrooms and has been charged with the following offenses:
– Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (methamphetamine)
– Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree, 1st Offense (hallucinogen)
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (drug unspecified Schedule 1 & 2)
Bohonis was transported to the Christian County Jail.
