Oak Grove Woman Arrested for Hindering Apprehension of Wanted Felon; Drugs Found In Residence

Thursday, November 21, 2024, Oak Grove, KY: Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies and Hopkinsville Police Department Officers attempted to serve a Christian County felony warrant at a residence in the 10000 block of Bell Station Road.

Gariyanna Kelly

Isaiah Fingers

The warrant was for 25-year-old Isaiah Fingers, who was wanted for –Receiving Stolen Property over $10,000. During the investigation, 24-year-old Gariyanna Kelly, the owner of the residence, told law enforcement personnel that Fingers was not inside the residence. However, prior to Kelly’s arrival, a subject later identified as Fingers was seen peering through a window. Kelly’s statement contradicted the observations of law enforcement personnel, who later found Fingers inside the residence and took him into custody. Probable cause exists to believe Kelly knowingly lied to hinder the apprehension of Fingers, a wanted felonious fugitive.

A search warrant was obtained for the house and executed by Deputies. During the search, multiple baggies of marijuana were found throughout the residence along with a large amount of currency, digital scales and three firearms.
As a result, Kelly was arrested and charged with Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension, 2nd Degree. Fingers was served the original warrant and taken into custody. Both Fingers and Kelly were also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Trafficking Marijuana and are currently being held at the Christian County Jail. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Hopkinsville Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
