Man Charged with Strangulation, Assault in Christian County

September 29, 2024, Christian County, KY:  Deputies responded to a disturbance call in the 4000 block of Cumbee Rd.

Upon arrival, they met with a victim who reported a disturbing sequence of events. While driving home from a friend’s house with 35-year-old Kenneth Evans, the victim requested to stop for a restroom break. Evans became enraged, and began assaulting her, including inflicting injuries to her throat. The victim displayed visible injuries, including dried blood on her face and lips, bruising around her neck, and scratch marks on her arm. A witness corroborated the events. Evans faces charges for:

– Strangulation 1st Degree (Domestic Violence Related)

– Assault, 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) Minor Injury

– Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree

Additionally, Evans damaged the speaker cover in the deputy’s cruiser by kicking it.
