Thursday, August 1st, 2024, Christian County, KY: On Thursday afternoon, deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on South Main Street in Pembroke, KY, resulting in the discovery of illegal narcotics and the arrest of an Oak Grove man. The stop was a continuation of a two-month long investigation by the CCSO Anti-Crime Unit and assisting agencies.
Daviontae Gulledge, 27, was stopped at approximately 2:00 pm for not wearing a seatbelt. Upon approaching the vehicle, deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana. A Hopkinsville K9 unit assisted in the stop and alerted on the vehicle, leading to the discovery of a black backpack containing suspected methamphetamine, crack cocaine, Fentanyl, and marijuana, along with digital scales and US currency. Based on the evidence found, Christian County Anti-Crime Unit (ACU) Detectives obtained a search warrant for Gulledge’s residence, located in the 100 block of Mandarin Drive in Oak Grove, KY. The search yielded additional contraband, including crack cocaine, Fentanyl, and marijuana, as well as a handgun and US currency. Gulledge was arrested and charged with: – Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Meth) – Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Cocaine) – Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Offense (Fentanyl) – Using Restricted Ammunition During a Felony – Trafficking in Marijuana (<5lbs) – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Failure to Wear a Seatbelt
Gulledge was transported to the Christian County Jail.
