Deputies Arrest Crofton Man for Possession of Meth After Traffic Stop

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Crofton man for a failure to appear warrant and discovered methamphetamine in the suspects pocket after a traffic stop on Tuesday night.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor traffic violation at around 9:30 pm in the area of South Madisonville Street in Crofton, KY. During the stop, the passenger, identified as 57-year-old Timothy Daugherty, was found to have an active warrant for Failure to Appear. Upon arresting Daugherty, a search incident to arrest revealed a plastic baggie containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine in his pocket. Daugherty was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine).

Daugherty was transported to the Christian County Jail.
