Monday, January 1st, 2023, Hopkinsville, KY: Deputies were called Monday night to check a female on foot who was alleged to be in possession of Illegal drugs.
According to an arrest citation, Deputy Lance Nosbusch made contact with 43-year-old Maria Zivotin in the area of Woodbine and Maple St. in Christian County. Upon contact, Zivotin gave deputies what was determined to be a false name. Zivotin was taken into custody and was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics to include marijuana, methamphetamine, pills and drug paraphernalia. Zivotin informed the officers that she had the illegal contraband in her possession when they made contact with her.
Zivotin was arrested and charged with the following:
- Giving Officer a False Name
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
- Possession of Meth
Suspect was transported to the Christian County Jail.
