October 3rd, 2023, Christian County, KY: Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary call at a church in North Christian County Tuesday afternoon and located the suspect.
According to a CCSO citation, deputies arrived at Judges Chapel Church at around 3:00pm to take a report for burglary after someone attempted to gain entry to the church and fled the scene. A witness saw a gold sedan leaving the building fleeing south. Units were able to locate the suspect vehicle a short time later in the area of the 6000 block of Crofton Fruit hill Rd. A vehicle stop was made, and the driver, 36-year-old Matthew Foe was detained. Major Quarles directed Foe and the passenger to exit the vehicle while K9 Deputy Stallons utilized his K9 to conduct a free air sniff on the vehicle. The K9 alerted on the vehicle and deputies found approximately >20 grams of suspected synthetic drugs (spice), a pipe, and Gabapentin pills in a clear plastic baggie.
After many versions of the story, Foe finally admitted that he attempted to break into the church.
Foe was charged with the following:
- Attempted Burglary 3rd Degre
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense
- Possession of Synthetic Drugs 1st Offense
- Possession of Burglary Tools
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- No Insurance
Foe was transported to the Christian County Jail.
