Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hopkinsville juvenile for stealing two vehicles in the Crofton area Monday (02/06).
According to CCSO arrest citations, earlier in the day, a vehicle was reported stolen in Crofton, and Deputies were in the area attempting to find it. The vehicle was recovered by Deputy Clevin Robinson a short time later however no one was around it. Deputies then began looking for the suspect, as they were able to obtain video footage of the person that stole the vehicle. At approximately 10:00 pm, Deputy Quarles pulled into Gordon Park and observed a vehicle speed off as he pulled into the parking lot. Deputies gave chase and a short pursuit ensued. The vehicle wrecked in the area of T. Sparkman Rd and Madisonville Rd. and the driver, a 15-year-old juvenile, was taken into custody.
It was determined through the investigation that the juvenile stole the vehicle from earlier in the day and had also stolen the vehicle he was captured in.
He was arrested and charged with the following:
- Theft of Auto x 2 Counts
- Fleeing or Evading 1st Degree
- Multiple Traffic Charges
