Drugs Found After Vehicle Accident, Two Arrested

Christian County Sheriff's Office Drug ArrestDeputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office rolled up on a two-car vehicle accident on Princeton Rd. Saturday evening and arrested two after drugs were located during the investigation.

According to an arrest citation, Deputies Dendreck Holmes and Kevin Quarles were assisting in the investigation of a vehicle accident on November 27th and made contact with the occupants of one of the vehicles, 35-year-old Victor Robert-Trouty Blackburn and 37-year-old Tyler McHughes. The citations state that Blackburn was acting suspicious at the scene. Deputy Quarles enlisted the help of Deputy Sam Suiter and his K9 partner Zico to do a free sniff around Blackburn’s vehicle. Deputies located a pill inside the vehicle identified as Clonazapram, marijuana, and a loaded Taurus handgun. Deputies then searched the immediate area of the vehicle and located an empty bag with white residue, appearing to be suspected methamphetamine, in front of the truck, along with a glass pipe. Once the vehicle was removed by the towing company, a bag of suspected methamphetamine was found under the front end of the vehicle by the tire. All items were located in the immediate vicinity of Blackburn and McHughes, and their vehicle.

Blackburn was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense
  • Prescription not in Proper Container
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence

McHughes was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Operating on a Suspended License
  • No Insurance
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense
  • Prescription not in Proper Container

Blackburn and McHughes were transported to the Christian County Jail.
