CCSO Charges 3 With Fleeing, Other Crimes Over the Weekend

Christian County Sheriff's OfficeThe Christian County Sheriff’s Office made several arrests over the weekend, charging three suspects for fleeing and other crimes.

On May 22nd, 2022 at approximately 11:51 am, Deputy Clevin Robinson attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Trevor Towner of Benton, KY for speeding in the area of the Pennyrile Parkway and Martin Luther King Way. Towner refused to stop and led deputies on a chase off the parkway and up Greenville Rd. Towner surrendered after the chase and was taken into custody without incident in the area of Dogwood Kelly Rd. During the investigation, it was discovered that Towner had an active warrant out of Graves County, KY for theft of a firearm. 

Towner was charged the following:

  • Speeding
  • Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree
  • Disregarding a Stop Sign
  • Improper Passing
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, x 3 counts
  • Failure to Use Signal

On May 22nd, 2022 at approximately 4:39 pm, Deputy Mike Oxford attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Hannah Williams of Hopkinsville, for speeding in the area of Pembroke Rd. and Casky Lane. According the arrest citation, Williams was traveling 125 mph in a 55 mph zone. The vehicle turned onto Casky Lane and eventually slid off the road. Williams was detained and charged with the following:

  • Speeding
  • Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree

    On May 22nd, 2022 at approximately 11:15 pm, Deputy Kevin Quarles attempted to stop a motorcycle driven by 29-year-old Hakeem Brown on E. 9th Street in Hopkinsville.  According the arrest citation, Brown was passing vehicles in oncoming traffic posing a danger to other motorists. Brown attempted to elude once Quarles activated his emergency lights leading authorities on a chase through the streets of Hopkinsville. Brown wrecked the motorcycle in the area of South O’Neal Avenue and was taken into custody without incident. During a search of Brown’s person, deputies found a Ruger pistol in his waistband.

    Brown was charged with the following:

  • Careless Driving
  • Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree
  • No Insurance
  • Display of Illegal/ Altered Registration Plate
  • Speeding
  • Reckless Driving
  • No Motorcycle License
