Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle early Wednesday morning and arrested a Hopkinsville man for gun and drug charges.
According to an arrest citation from Sgt. John Quarles, 29-year-old John Perrine was pulled over on Lake Morris Road at around 3:00 am because of expired tags. Once contact was made, Perrine admitted to Quarles that he was in possession of “a little spice”. It was also determined that Perrine had a suspended driver’s license and was a convicted felon. A search of the vehicle yielded a baggie of suspected meth and a handgun.
Perrine was taken into custody and charged with the following:
- Driving DUI Suspended
- No Insurance
- No Registration Receipt
- No Registration Plates
- Possession of Synthetic Drugs
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
Perrine was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
