Detectives with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms served a search warrant Wednesday (02/23) in Christian County and arrested a Hopkinsville man.
According to a CCSO citation, a search warrant was obtained for a residence in the 500 block of Southwind Drive in Hopkinsville as a part of an ongoing investigation led by Det. Sgt. Ricky Burgess. During the search, officers seized methamphetamine, a rifle and a handgun. The resident of the home, 43-year-old Shaun Powers, was arrested an charged with the following:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
Powers was transported to the Christian County Jail.
