Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office were notified of a fleeing suspect coming from Tennessee last night and apprehended the individual after a brief pursuit.
According to a CCSO arrest citation, Tennessee authorities alerted Christian County dispatch that they were in pursuit of a vehicle. The suspect crossed over into Kentucky on Interstate 24 at around 8:00 pm Monday night. CCSO deputies picked up the chase and pursued the suspect until spike strips were deployed, disabling the vehicle on Fort Campbell Blvd around the area of Lovers Lane.
The vehicle was driven by 42-year-old Marquis Tanner of Clarksville, TN. Tanner was arrested and charged with the following:
- Speeding
- Fleeing/ Evading Police 1st Degree
- Operating on a Suspended License
- No Seatbelts
- Possession of Marijuana
