Afternoon Disturbance Leads to Arrest of Hopkinsville Woman

christian county sheriff's office kentuckyDeputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call on Greenville Rd. Saturday afternoon and arrested a Hopkinsville woman for multiple charges.

According to an arrest citation from Deputy Johnny Colon, 27-year-old Joyce Hall was reportedly seen walking in the area of the By-Pass and Greenville Rd. at around 5:00 pm and appeared to be intoxicated. While deputies were responding to the incident, they were updated that a disturbance was taking place at a residence in the 3000 block of Greenville Rd. When deputies arrived they made contact with Hall and another subject at the residence. Hall reportedly assaulted the other subject and was placed under arrest. Hall was in possession of a liquor bottle and a 9mm handgun when she was arrested. Further investigation revealed that at some point, Hall fired a weapon out of a vehicle and pointed the gun at an individual before deputies arrived. The citation further states that Hall resisted arrest and began kicking the partition in the deputy’s cruiser. Hall was a respondent in an emergency protective order and was prohibited from carrying a firearm.

Hall was taken to the Christian County Jail and charged with the following:

  • Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
  • Assault 4th Degree
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Menacing
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Violation of a Court Order
