Deputies arrested a Georgia man Wednesday night after he led deputies on a pursuit on the Pennyrile Parkway.
According to an arrest citation, Deputy John Quarles observed a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Alex Julian Eric Robles Moore of Fort Benning, GA traveling at a high rate of speed on Pennyrile Parkway. After a traffic stop was initiated by Quarles, Moore refused to stop and led authorities on a 6-mile pursuit with speeds reaching up to 127 miles per hour. Deputies were able to stop the vehicle and discovered that Moore appeared to be impaired, exhibiting signs of slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and unsteadiness. There were also two other passengers in the car with Moore who told deputies they were trying to get him to stop.
