CCSO Responds to Prowler Call, Arrests Two for Meth Possession

Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a prowler call on Millers Mill Rd. Sunday night, and arrested two Christian County men for meth possession.

Christian County Sheriff's Office Meth Arrest Hopkinsville KentuckyAccording to arrest citations from Sgt. Brandon Myers and K9 Deputy Sam Suiter, deputies observed a vehicle leaving the listed area as they were approaching.

Sgt. Myers followed the vehicle and stopped it on Memory lane for a traffic infraction.

Deputies discovered the passenger, 28-year-old Marshall Austin of Hopkinsville, had an active warrant out of Christian County for contempt of court. The driver, 41-year-old Richard Wayne Scott of Oak Grove, told deputies there may be marijuana in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded suspected methamphetamine in a black box on the rear floor board, and more suspect methamphetamine in a small plastic bag on the front passenger seat. According to the report, both occupants of the vehicle denied any ownership of the meth.

Both subjects were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Meth), and transported to the Christian County Jail.
