Hopkinsville Man Arrested After Brief Pursuit

Deputies with Christian County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle yesterday that led to the arrest of the driver for fleeing.

christian county sheriff's office hopkinsville ky pursuit traffic stop in Christian County KYAccording to an arrest citation, Deputy Clevin Robinson attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of McLean and Linwood Drive yesterday afternoon in Hopkinsville for a traffic infraction. The vehicle refused to stop and led Deputies on a chase that ended on Greenville Rd in the area of Antioch Church Rd. Officers located suspected marijuana and cocaine inside the vehicle and also discovered that the driver had two active felony Probation Violation warrants out of Christian County.

29-year-old Marcus L. Brown of Hopkinsville was arrested from the vehicle and charged with the following:

  • Operating on a Suspended Drivers License
  • No Registration Plates
  • Fleeing and Evading Police 1st Degree
  • 3 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
  • Criminal Mischief 1st Degree
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
  • Failure to Use a Turn Signal

CCSO was assisted by officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department and the Kentucky State Police. Brown was transported to the  Christian County Jail.
