Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Indiana man after a brief pursuit on the Pennyrile Parkway this morning.
According to an arrest citation from Deputy John Quarles, officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on Fort Campbell Blvd., underneath the Pennyrile Parkway at around 8:45 on Wednesday. As Deputies were conducting the traffic stop, the vehicle fled and led officers on a pursuit onto Pennyrile Parkway southbound. Deputies were able to get the vehicle stopped without incident around the 4 1/2 mile marker.
37-year-old Benjamin Gray of New Haven, IN was arrested out of the vehicle and charged with the following:
- Careless Driving
- Operating on a Suspended Drivers License
- No Insurance
- Improper Registration Plate
- Fleeing and Evading 1st Degree
- Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
- Speeding in Excess of 26 mph
- Improper Passing
- Reckless Driving
Gray was transported to the Christian County Jail.
