Princeton Street Traffic Stop Leads to Trafficking, Weapon Charges

Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Monday, November 23rd, and arrested a Crofton man for weapon and trafficking charges.

According to a CCSO arrest report, Deputy Charlie Fiscella stopped a vehicle Monday night at around 11:00 pm in the area of the 100 block of E. Princeton Street in Crofton for a traffic infraction. Fiscella smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and discovered the driver, 36-year-old Paul T. Edmonds, was driving with a suspended license and was a convicted felon.

Christian County Sheriff's Office Drug ArrestEdmonds gave Fiscella and other Deputies consent to search the vehicle. The search yielded individual packed marijuana, plastic baggies, methamphetamine, ammunition, and several other items of drug paraphernalia. Edmonds was arrested and escorted to his home for further investigation. Deputies obtained permission from Edmonds to search his residence, where they located more marijuana and two firearms.

 

 

Edmonds was charged with the following:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth)
  • Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Trafficking in Marijuana 1st Offense
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Operating on a Suspended Driver’s License
  • Careless Driving

Edmonds was transported to the Christian County Jail.
