Loud Muffler Leads to Meth Arrest

Deputies arrested a Nortonville woman for drug charges after her vehicle was stopped for having a loud muffler and a canceled license plate.

According to an arrest report from Deputy Charlie Fiscella, 36-year-old Krista Dawn Gamble was stopped in the 400 block of East Princeton Street yesterday evening (10/14) in Crofton for a loud muffler and a canceled Kentucky registration. Deputy Fiscella stated he smelled suspected marijuana when he approached the driver. Fiscella called for CCSO K9 Hamer and his handler Sgt. Brandon Myers, who indicated on the vehicle and a search was conducted. The search yielded marijuana, drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, ecstasy pills, a loaded handgun, and US currency.

Gamble was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Gamble was transported to the Christian County Jail.
