Sheriff DeArmond Invites Public to Sit Down Forum

09/23/2020:

Sheriff Tyler DeArmond is pleased to announce that he will be holding community forums beginning November of this year.

The forums, referred to as a “Sit Down With the Sheriff”,  will be held on a quarterly basis, beginning on November 5th, 2020 at 5:00 pm and lasting until 7:00 pm. Christian County residents are invited to participate to ask questions, voice concerns, and have conversations about what’s happening in Christian County from a law enforcement perspective. The goal of these meetings is to increase transparency between the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens we serve.

“Transparency is important to me and to the people that trusted me by electing me as their Sheriff. I intend to make these meetings a regular part of my administration so that I may listen, learn, and help address any issues they may have.” DeArmond says.

The first community forum will be held on Thursday, November 5th, 2020, beginning at 5:00 pm and lasting until 7:00 pm in the training room at the Christian County Sheriff’s Office located at 701 West 7th Street.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, seating will be limited to 35 participants. The Sheriff’s Office is asking those that plan to attend to please RSVP by calling 270-887-4141 or emailing admin@christiancountyso.com. Seating will be first-come-first-serve and coffee and water will be provided.

The forums will be videotaped and rebroadcasted on the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page for those that aren’t able to attend.
