Deputies arrested a Hopkinsville man Tuesday (05/26) for trafficking in illegal narcotics during the service of an emergency protective order (EPO).
According to an arrest report from Sgt. Brandon Myers, 42-year-old Michael Hubbard was being served with a protection order standing next to a vehicle in the back yard of a home on Forest Park Blvd. During the service, deputies discovered suspected narcotics residue on his person. Hubbard was served with the order and taken into custody on outstanding warrants . While on scene deputies received information that the vehicle Hubbard occupied may contain more illegal substances. A search of the vehicle yielded a gallon size plastic bag containing suspected synthetic marijuana, a digital scale, separated bags of the suspected drug packaged to sell and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Hubbard was arrested and charged with the following:
- Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs-1st Offense
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Hubbard was transported to the Christian County Jail.
