December 4th, 2019: Deputies went to an address in Hopkinsville, attempting to find a fugitive who was wanted on 3 felony warrants, and discovered illegal drugs.
At approximately 3:05 pm on December 3rd, Deputies went to a home located on Glass Avenue to try and locate 29-year-old Justin Morris of Hopkinsville. Deputies located Morris and also found suboxone, methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of cash on his person. A search warrant was obtained for the building Morris resided and several more items of contraband were found to include several more bags of suspected meth, two handguns, multiple rounds of ammunition, digital scales and numerous counterfeit checks. Morris was charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense (Meth)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified).
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- 2 counts of Felony Possession of a Handgun
- Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument
- Possession of Marijuana
Morris was also taken in on the 3 felony probation violation warrants, and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
