CCSO Investigating Fatality/ Section Of Pennyrile Pkwy Closed

Deputies and first responders were called to a 3-vehicle fatality accident this morning just before 5:00 am. in the area of the 3mm on the Pennyrile Parkway South Bound.

Preliminary investigations determined that the vehicles involved included two passenger vehicles and one semi. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and one died later at Jennie Stuart Hospital. A  fourth victim sustained critical injuries and is being treated at Jennie Stuart and a fifth victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Accident reconstructionists from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office are on scene investigating the crash. The south bound lanes are closed while the investigation is underway and are expected to be closed for a while. All motorists traveling south bound on Pennyrile Parkway are encouraged to get off at Ft. Campbell Blvd or Eagle Way By-Pass.  

The identities of the victims are not being released at this time. Further information will be made available upon completion of the collision report.
