CCSO Locates and Arrests Most Wanted, and Person Hiding Him

July 25th, 2019: Deputies went to a residence in the 7000 block of Crofton Fruithill Rd. yesterday to find a male subject who had recently been listed on the Sheriff’s Office MOST WANTED page.

Deputies received information and verified that 44-year-old Thomas Looney  was at home and attempted to make contact. After repeated attempts to convince Looney to come out of a bedroom in the house, Deputies finally forced their way in and took Looney into custody.

While in the bedroom, Looney admitted to Deputies there was illegal narcotics in the room. Officers found suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale, glass pipes, and several small, empty plastic baggies used in the packaging and sale of narcotics. Looney was taken into custody and charged with the following:

  • 2 Felony Warrants for Contempt of Court and Probation Violation
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense

Looney was transported to the Christian County Jail.

Also arrested during Looney’s Apprehension, was 54-year-old Michelle Phipps. According to her arrest report, Phipps lied to Deputies about Looney being in the bedroom with her at the time of his arrest. Phipps was taken into custody and charged with the following:

  • Hindering Prosecution/ Apprehension

Phipps was transported to the Christian County Jail.
